Defence training and anti-drone solutions provider Zen Technologies will acquire two firms focused on simulation and related technologies for ₹130 crore.

The proposed acquisition of Applied Research International (ARIPL) for ₹127.50 crore and ARI Labs (ALPL) for ₹2.50 crore is expected to strengthen Zen’s defence simulation capabilities, foray beyond land-based training and advance expertise in naval and maritime simulations to enhance combat preparedness.

ARIPL is into simulation and assessment tools for the marine, offshore, naval, ports and terminals, construction and mining industries; fleetview monitoring of ships; and maintenance and module development for e-governance of DG Shipping of India. It had reported an operational revenue of ₹92.18 crore for 2023-24.

ALPL, which is engaged in the business of providing simulation and assessment tools for the marine and naval industries, had reported ₹94 lakh revenue last fiscal.

The acquisition is expected to be completed in two tranches in one year subject to regulatory approvals and customary closing conditions. It will “make our solutions more powerful, impactful and globally accessible,” Zen Technologies CMD Ashok Atluri said. Co-founder of ARI Shravan Rewari will serve as a Board Member for strategic alignment.
