The Life Insurance Corporation of India, as an investment function, has increased its shareholding in Asian Paints from a little over 5% to more than 7% through open market purchase since January.
“The holding increased from 5.001% to 7.010%, a net increase of 2.009% during the period from January 1, 2024 to December 9, 2024 at an average cost of ₹2,891.25 crore,” LIC said in a filing. Asian Paints shares on Tuesday closed less than 1% higher at ₹2,389.80 apiece on the BSE.
