CG Power and Industrial Solutions Ltd. said its subsidiary G.G. Tronics India Pvt. Ltd. (GGT) has secured Kavach (train protection system) order from Chittaranjan Locomotive Works.
The order value is estimated to be about ₹500-₹600 crore and the execution time frame will be one year, a part of the Murugappa group said in a regulatory filing.
The scope of the order comprises supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of onboard Kavach equipment as per RDSO specifications including annual maintenance for 11 years. The supply scope also includes complete wiring, harnessing, cabling, and connection with Loco Kavach system.
The Bengaluru based GGT specialises in designing, manufacturing, supplying, and installing electronic safety embedded signalling systems for the Railway transportation segment.
Among its notable offerings is the Train Collision Avoidance System (TCAS), also referred to as Automatic Train Protection Systems (IRATPS) or ‘Kavach,’ for which GGT is a developmental vendor.
GGT’s product line-up also includes single & multi-section digital axle counters and high availability digital axle counters. GGT provides comprehensive services for system and software verification and validation for railway signalling products and projects.
